Gutenprint

Gutenprint is a pack of drivers for more than 1,300 Canon, Epson, and Lexmark printers, along with any other device based in PCL, that obtains print quality equal or superior to that done with the factory-supplied driver.

Follow the steps outlined in the 'How to print with Gutenprint' guide to properly configure a USB or network-connected printer. Gutenprint also includes a complement that will improve printing with the program The Gimp.
